We believe God is the Father and that Jesus is His Son. When God set a course for the events of things to come in Genesis 3:15, His plan was for a savior to redeem mankind, since Lucifer had messed up His first plan. Every event that has happened, and will happen in God’s plan, was to protect the believer’s line to prepare the way for the Savior. Then after Jesus was born and he walked the walk all the way through the Cross, God raised him from the dead. A short time later, Jesus ascended up to heaven and sat down at his Daddy’s right hand. From there he has poured out the holy spirit, into every person who has confessed him as Lord, and who believe God raised him from the dead [Rom. 10:9]. With the holy spirit, he [and God too], can give up instructions beyond what the written Word tells us. These revelations will never contradict the Bible, only enhance it, and help us walk in this fallen world.
Today he is the Head of his Body [us, the Church] and helps direct our lives, as we walk and talk, with him, and for him, as his Ambassadors [2 Cor. 5:20], his brothers and sisters, reconciling the world back to him and his heavenly Father [and ours]. He and God have blessed us with an instruction book, the Bible, to help give us answers to life. The Book contains “…everything we need for life and godliness…” [2 Pet. 1:3], and behooves us to learn what it teaches. Every word in the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is God Breathed [2 Tim. 3:16], and we are to live by “…every word that comes from the mouth of God…” [Matt. 4:4]. This written Word contained no contradictions, errors, or flaws in its original God Breathed form, but has been messed up by translation, transmission, or our own understanding. We have found keys, which many others use as well, so that the Bible can be understood, applied, lived, and taught, once you understand the keys to its interpretation, and use the gift of holy spirit, which Jesus gave us.
God made Jesus Lord and Christ [Acts 2:36], and we believe this relationship is very similar to the one in Genesis Chapters 41–50, between Pharaoh and Joseph. God is the One True God, and the Creator of the world and mankind; but outside the throne, Christ has tremendous power and responsibility. Today he is the one coordinating his Body [the members of his Church] in their responsibilities. Our proof that we are members of that Body is our ability to speak in tongues, but our ability to operate all nine manifestations of the spirit, is also proof of the spiritual power within us.
We live in an amazing time, in the “Administration of the Secret” (Eph. 3:9), a time when salvation is permanent [1 Pet. 1:23], when we are baptised in holy spirit, not water [1 Cor. 12:13], this is the “one baptism” of Ephesians 4:5. We believe when someone dies, they are dead, and are figuratively asleep until the Lord Raptures them, by awakening them from that sleep. Every dead Christian will be awakened and proceed those Christians still alive, and both those who were asleep and those alive will meet Jesus in the air. Once we meet him in the air, we will be judged for the rewards we have earned. Yes we said judged! In a court when we are found guilty or innocent, we were still judged. The same is true with being judged for rewards. We also believe that following the Rapture of all the Christians will be the time of Jacob’s troubles [the Tribulation], followed by the return of Jesus to the earth where he will fight the “Battle of Armageddon” then establishing his Millennial Kingdom. He will then raise those believers who lived during the time of the Hebrew Scriptures and those believers who died during the Tribulation and reward them. At the end of his thousand year reign, everyone else will be raised and judged for everlasting life or everlasting death. After all this he will, in a sense, step down, letting God run the restored earth with Jesus still at his side. This will usher in the Everlasting Kingdom, which begins in Revelation 21:1 and continues forever.
God is the Father and Jesus is the Son, together they are the “Dynamic Duo” trying to squeeze a Trinity in there, contradicts the truth of Scripture. We recommend several books teaching the true understanding of this and other hot topics [see “Recommended Listening, Reading and Watching List”].
Scripture is our primary standard for faith and practice, with revelation [by way of one of the manifestations of the spirit] being secondary. We believe everything written in the past [Hebrew Scriptures] is to teach us [Rom. 15:4]. A point which needs to be understood is that even though the Gospels are a fulfillment of the Hebrew Scriptures, they are not accepted by Israel or the Jews, because they were written by Christian prophets and are lumped in with the Christian Scriptures. The book of Acts is a transitional book, starting Jewish and with a slow change to Christian. All the books between Romans and Jude apply to us Christians. The book of Revelation covers the last three administrations [Tribulation, Paradise, and the Everlasting Kingdom].
Our goal is to let Jesus be the Head and follow his lead. He gave the revelation to Paul to write much of the Christian Scriptures [Gal. 1:11 and 12], and we want to develop that kind of a walk. We plan on that as a reality, not lip service. We are the Lord’s Body, with only one Head, no hierarchy, yet we will have structure. We recommend an article: “Church Leadership; What Does the Bible Say?” which in part covers our thinking. God has no partiality [2 Chron. 19:7; Prov. 24:23, 28:21]. God shows no favoritism [Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Eph. 6:9; Col. 3:25; James 2:1]. God judges each man’s work impartially [1 Pet. 1:17]. God elevates, no man above another, with the exception of His Son, who walked a walk we could never walk, all the way through the death on the Cross! Jesus is the Head and we are a part of his Body. See 1 Corinthians 12:25:
1 Corinthians 12:25 (NIV)
so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
Were one part higher than another, it would cause divisions in the Body, and the parts of that Body could not have equal concern for each other. There is only one Head; anything else would be a deformity [anything we have ever seen with more than one head was deformed].
We believe that “God is love” [1 John 4:8 and 16]. He is light and in Him there is no darkness at all [1 John 1:5]. We see no way He is responsible for evil, sin, and suffering we see all around us in this world today. From the Bible we see Satan as the cause of this mayhem [2 Cor. 4:4; Heb. 2:14]. We see both Jesus and Paul, as those we are to copy in our walk. We cannot follow everything our Lord did, because he walked under the Law, but Paul showed us how to walk during this time [the Administration of the Secret]. There are things both Jesus and Paul showed in their walk that was the same, and the Bible says we must walk in them: love, compassion, grace, and mercy. In that light, as we walk that way, we need to listen to those with questions, understanding, no question is stupid, if your heart is pure and you truly want answers. We need to lovingly answer every question from the Heart of God, His Word.
We have many things we believe but this is not the place for a book. Our goal is to be able to stand before the Lord Jesus, and say we gave it our best shot, and rightly handling the wonderful words written in Scripture. It is our hope this gives you a taste of what we believe. Thanks for reading! From those of us at: “Living Love with Jesus.” We plan to live up to our name! Keep checking this website for new articles, videos, and whatever Jesus directs us to do!
About Our Staff and Who We Are!
Hello, my name is Robert Maffit, but I prefer being called Bob. I want to thank you for stopping by and looking around our “Living Love with Jesus” website. We work very hard to bless those who contact us and those who read and give us feedback on the articles which appear here. Our staff is rather small and every person is a volunteer. Nobody gets paid, and every penny we receive goes into what we do. Do not get me wrong, we would like to all be paid for the work we do, but that is not available for now. I will share the names of those who are currently doing the work that is blessing you. All of those in our little group are Christians.
Our Editors are my daughter Brandy Fore, my wife Linda Maffit, and my mother, Olive Maffit, who always seems to find things to make our articles read better. Actually my grandson Mitch [Brandy’s son] has helped with punctuation.
Every photo [except two] and all the graphics are done by my former son-in-law Eric Fore [sadly he no longer works with us], with the help of my daughter Brandy. The photos and graphics are such a blessing, and I cannot wait until we have one for every article. Several are masterpieces and I love showing them to people, which I do. I have many of them on my pad, and on my phone to show people. There are some I want to one day frame and have in my office hanging on the wall. I have had tears of joy seeing the work that has been done!
Brandy Maffit also has spent countless hours transferring information to and from the ministry computer. I could not have all the resources I have without her help. Nothing we do is in anyway illegal. She had to do this because someone evil hacked our main computer, so we had to work around this to get everything on our new computer with no computer viruses in it. Brandy is also an author and has written an article about Stephen in the [Category: Leadership, on our website] which should bless everyone. She is also the Administrator of our Facebook® page and has found or created hundreds of the posters on our wall. She has such an impact on what is there. Our cover photo on Facebook®, which changes often, is done by Brandy. Whatever I ask for when it comes to photos or graphics, she provides. Our Administrations Chart was done the exact way I asked for.
Lastly myself, Bob Maffit, I do the day-to-day operations of the ministry. I send out prayer requests, print articles [for those without a computer], handle the mail and any mailing, keep track of contributors, keep the books of all donations, write letters to our contributors, send cards at holidays to our contributors, teach, minister, talk with folks on the phone, edit, perform weddings, do memorial services, and I am responsible for most of the articles on our website. I contact the main contributors and talk with them once or twice a month. We have no hierarchy, and when we purchase equipment, like our new ministry computer, I contacted the major financial contributors and asked them what they thought before purchasing. It is not just my planning; it is those who speak into the work being done [the Lord, and major contributors]. We look to the Lord Jesus for guidance in how we operate. He is the Head of his Body, the Church, and we need his leadership to operate correctly. Our articles on Leadership, and the upcoming book: “True Christian Leadership” will give you an idea of our way of operating.
We are making plans to do videos, do a monthly newsletter [which we want to become a magazine], even do some classes, but that takes money and that we have very little of. To date we have had enough to do everything we have wanted to do. We feel when we need to get whatever is needed we will have the item we need, or the money to get it. Jesus is the Head of his Body, the Church, and we follow his lead. He is the real President of this ministry! He lived every talent and ability we strive to operate. We thank him [the Boss] and his Daddy for where we are today, and where we will be tomorrow. Again, thanks for stopping by, and checking out the “Living Love with Jesus” website!
