Signs in the Sun, Moon, and Stars, Part Thirteen
By Bob Maffit
Back for lucky Thirteen, which I say tongue in cheek, because of the stigma of that number. It is insane that people feel this number is unlucky. Personally, I do not believe in luck, good or bad. I do not think Jesus or Moses believed thirteen was unlucky, and they are two of the greatest men to ever live. Jesus and his disciples totaled thirteen, as did Moses and the leaders of the twelve tribes, again totaling thirteen. The number thirteen is not unlucky, it is just a number. If thirteen was bad, the Lord would have changed the number of disciples he worked with! Please do not stop reading just because this is Part Thirteen!
There are many of you who do not know what is right, and what is wrong in the first ten parts of this series, so my review is to show some of what we now are absolutely sure is right. The information that the signs coincided with the event was wrong, which we covered in Part Twelve. We showed in Part Eleven how the information of the Feasts, Israel, and the Jews play little or no bearing on the events of today, especially the Rapture. Wrong teaching from my past sure messed me up on my understanding, but my eyes are now opened, and I see more now what the Bible and the stars are showing. So, our review here will be showing what is right, which will help you in your understanding of this topic.
Some More Review Worthy of Reviewing
We have reviewed most of the good from Part One and Two in the last two parts; we will now look at Part Three. I feel this has to be the way to go to get everyone on the same page. What I want to tell you is even though I no longer believe the Feasts have anything to do with the Rapture, is that one point I brought up in Part Three, which was that I believe Christ’s ministry was only three months long. Let us look at excerpts of what I said [edited].
Over forty years ago, I took a class by a man [VPW] I feel set me on a path to the Truth like no other. Last year, I publically thanked God for the Word this man taught me, and some wanted to, “tar & feather,” me. I know in my heart, he must have done some bad things, but I never saw him do them, and I worked for him a bunch, and very closely I might add. To me, he was, “The Teacher!” No denominational church ever taught me the basic core beliefs I have today, but he did. He wrote many books, but the book, “Jesus Christ Our Passover,” helped me so much with this series. One of the many things I learned was the ministry of our Lord Jesus was a year, or less. Tradition teaches three and a half years. Well, put your seat belts on, because I feel his ministry was only three months long.
Years ago, I learned that the Bible lands [traditionally Holy Lands] actually have a winter [not as cold as we have in Michigan, but it still gets cold, and even gets snow], which was why the shepherds would not have been out watching their flocks by night in December. That was a clue that December was not the month Christ was born. A dear friend has a photo on his office wall of Christmas in Jerusalem, which has snow on the city, and it is a real photo! So, Christ’s earthly ministry started with his baptism in the Jordan River, and they would not do that in the winter [I need to write an article on this, but do not have the time, until I finish this series]. Historically, outdoor baptisms were the standard, and were done from late spring to early fall [they started building indoor pools after the execution of Stephen in Acts 7 and 8]. Jesus’ earthly ministry ended with his last Feast celebrated, which was with him pouring out the holy spirit on Pentecost. Therefore, during his earthly ministry he only celebrated the Spring Feasts with his disciples. Some of these have more than one name, but for what we are concerned with, they were called, “Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost.” None of the Fall Feasts were even mentioned in the Gospels. So, if his earthly ministry was three and a half years, as tradition teaches, then why would Jesus not celebrate the other Feasts with his disciples? If his ministry was more than three months, then why are none of the other Feasts mentioned in the Gospels? Simple, his earthly ministry was that short, in the spring only! What this shows is the power in and of his earthly ministry! This really changes little in the book, “Jesus Christ Our Passover,” which states a year or less. I covered this verse, below in, “Part One,” but not this aspect of it.
Genesis 1:14 (KJV)
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
First, the word, “signs,” can also be translated, “things to come.” I love that, but let us keep going. Most translations read, “for seasons,” but I want you to see that other translations do not. What others say is important, because I feel, “seasons,” is not logical. The Sun, Moon, and Stars have little, or nothing, to do with the seasons, but the tilting and rotation of the earth does effect the seasons. They come every year, which is why I had to do some checking. This is what I found when checking other versions, which do not read, “seasons.”
Holman Christian Standard Bible (2004) reads: “festivals.”
God’s Word to the Nations Version (1995) reads: “will mark religious festivals.”
The New American Bible (1991) reads: “mark the fixed times.”
The New Jerusalem Bible (1985) reads: “let them indicate festivals.”
JPS [Jewish Publication Society] Tanakh (1985) reads: “for the set times.”
There may be others, as I did not do an exhaustive search, but the point is, there are versions which do not say, “seasons.” Since they all did not read, “seasons,” I felt some more research needed to be done. I use BibleWorks® software, so I looked up the definition there. Here is what I found [note the bolded words below and in the paragraph coming up].
The Hebrew meaning is: 1) appointed place, appointed time, meeting 1a) appointed time 1a1) appointed time (general) 1a2) sacred season, set feast, appointed season 1b) appointed meeting 1c) appointed place 1d) appointed sign or signal 1e) tent of meeting.
Usage in the AV (KJV)–congregation 150, feast 23, season 13, appointed 12, time 12, assembly 4, solemnity 4, solemn 2, days 1, sign 1, synagogues 1.
When I started back through this information on the, “Gathering Together,” the being “Caught Up,” and the “Rapture,” and thought, what would be the GREATEST assembly, appointed time, appointed meeting, congregation EVER? Answer: The “RAPTURE!” Therefore, there would have to be signs in the stars announcing its coming!
The stars directed people before there was a written Word. I feel they guided people well into what is called, “the dark ages.” For thousands of years, the sun, moon, and stars have been helping God’s people, and even others. Others like, the Magi [wise men] who were guided to Jesus by signs in the heavens! Actually, there was an alignment of planets, which the translators called, “his star.” But today, I am thankful for all the modern technology, which has helped me, as well as many others, to look into the past, as well as the future, for events in our lives. The things I have seen have shown me things to come, as those verses we read in, “Part Twelve.” Remember, things from the past will show us things in the future, and vice versa! I believe we should still use the sun, moon, and stars for an exact place, and approximate time of events. I will cover more on that in an upcoming article.]
In Bible times, the heavens were not just for lights, they showed upcoming events, and they still do today. The planets were known as, “wandering stars.” The sun was to mark the days. The moon marked the months, and each month started with a new moon [this is not what we call the new moon today, will explain in upcoming article]. The stars and constellations showed the years, and still do. The sun travels through each constellation, and is in a particular place for one month, and there are twelve constellations, with three groups of stars in each one. The sun moves through the constellations, all twelve of them, each being showcased, so to speak, for one month [this timing varies only because we use the Roman Gregorian calendar]. This same thing happens every month, and every year, since God created them. A clock [because in the Word it mentions the hour that Jesus was crucified], and calendar for God, with the sun as a second hand showing the days, the moon as a minute hand showing the months [this is where the Lunar calendar is so accurate], and finally the stars as an hour hand, showing the years. All of this is predictable, day in and day out, month in and month out, and year in and year out. There is no variation. God really planned ahead with His Stars! There is only ONE variation, and that is the location of the planets. The only way to know the, “appointed times,” was to watch the stars, particularly the planets. The where and when, all hinged on the variability of the wandering stars.
At this point, we need to introduce the main, “Stars,” in our show in the heavens. This is the point where they come in, anyway. So, we need to talk about what could be seen with the naked eye, in Bible times. They could see all the stars, but as I covered in, “Part Two,” they could only see the inner planets [wandering stars], not the outer planets. They could only see Mercury, Venus, and of course the Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. While stars do move a little, it would not even be noticed if it were not for the rotation of the earth, and how it tilts on its axis [and if God wanted to get your attention]. For your knowledge, stars twinkle, and give off their own light. Planets are lit by the light from the sun, and are just lights in the night sky. Planets run on different time tables, and many times lap over one another. Part of this is because of the varying times it takes each of them to travel around the sun. This is because of the distances they are from the sun. For example, Mars takes two years to orbit the sun, Jupiter takes twelve years, and Saturn takes thirty years. Jupiter spends one year in each of the twelve constellations [signs of the Zodiac]. Since Jupiter spends one year in each constellation, and as the story was written in the stars, it was/is showing the Messianic pattern in the heavens [thank you E. W. Bullinger for showing me that].
From what I see, it is the planets, and what they do, that cause us to notice all the different things happening in the heavens. Our heavenly Father is so amazing, and boy does He plan ahead! All the planets travel in independent cycles. The planets form an infinite pattern of combinations in the heavens. They cause conjunctions (where they appear very close to each other), oppositions (on opposite sides of the universe), alignments (where they line up), and retrograde motions (they can appear to be going backwards, but are not). To understand retrograde motion, the earth moves around the sun in a year, while Jupiter takes twelve years. We move much faster compared to Jupiter, and so it appears to be going forward, so as we pass it, it seems to be going backwards, but it is not, it is just our perception. God did all of this so we could see the patterns in the heavens. All this variability with the planets, show God’s plans for His, “appointed times.” God is using the lights of heaven [mostly the planets], to give those in the past, and us a calendar to live by. I believe God is using this calendar to reveal His long term prophetic plans. All the objects in the heavens work together to show us God’s calendar, so we can tell, “prophetic time,” helping us see the light of what has happened, and what will. When we look at the planets in their combination with the sun, moon, and stars, in all their variations, this allows God to reveal the signs of His prophetic plans in the heavens. The Wise men [Magi] had to have something more than the day to day things of the sun, moon, and stars to send them across the world. The sun, moon, and non-wandering stars were not a part, all alone that is, that would help them find the Savior! It had to be the unique combination of the planets, with the sun, moon, and stars, against the background of the constellations that got their attention. We had lost this ability [because God’s Enemy deceived the world into using the sun, not the moon, and stars for the Roman Gregorian calendar, and for themselves, for horoscopes, which is also from the Evil One], but now, we with a scope of the Scriptures, the power of holy spirit, an understanding of the planets, and their meanings, get us back on the path our heavenly Father wanted us on!
The constellations tell the story of God’s redemption of mankind, but do not tell our future as individuals. They tell the story of the Messiah, the prophecies of his first coming, his death, his Resurrection, his Ascension, second coming [future], the Millennial Kingdom, and the final Paradise, which will be with the new heaven, and new earth. I have been showing you this about the planets, but want to show you something from the Bible.
Romans 10:17 (NIV)
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word [rhema] of Christ.
The message is heard through the word [rhema] of Christ. The Greek word transliterated into English as rhema means, by one definition I found: a communication from God by way of word, message, instruction, thing, object, matter, or event! Gary Theisen taught this, and he too missed the September 23rd ,2017, as the announcement, not the event itself [but I was more committed to it being thee day, than he or his ministry was]. So, rhema is not just the Bible. Many versions of the Bible translate rhema in different ways. Look at this verse.
Luke 2:15 (NIV)
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing [rhema] that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
Here it could also be translated, “matter,” or, “event,” but they chose, “thing.” The point is it can mean an, “event,” in the stars too! I could give more examples, but you get my point. This fits with everything we have seen so far in this series, about the signs in the sun, moon, and stars!
The heavens were God’s calendar ,and still are! I would like to look at a Psalm. The first six verses are a comparison with the last eight; it is between the heavens, and Scriptures! Understand this, that the verse numbers and the division of the verses are manmade. Structurally, the first six verses equal the last eight verses of this chapter.
Psalm 19:1–6 (NIV)
1 For the director of music. A psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, 5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. 6 It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands,” speaks volumes! Sounds like what is going on here, is God’s work! So, should that be important to us? Sure it should! Now, let us look at the last eight verses in this Psalm.
Psalm 19:7–14 (NIV)
7 The law of the LORD [Yahweh] is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD [Yahweh] are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD [Yahweh] are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD [Yahweh] are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD [Yahweh] is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD [Yahweh] are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD [Yahweh], my Rock and my Redeemer.
Verse 14 states, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD [Yahweh], my Rock and my Redeemer.” People, which that would include the first six verses also! They are important, and are about the stars.
Structurally, the first six verses are compared to the last eight, as two sides of the same coin. Both halves are about the LORD [Yahweh], and teach us bunches. The first six verses are about Him, and His Heavens, and the last eight verses are about Him, and His Scriptures. In the first six verses, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.” From them they pour forth speech, and display knowledge! In the last eight, “The statutes of the LORD [Yahweh] are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the LORD [Yahweh] are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD [Yahweh] are radiant, giving light to the eyes.” The heavens display knowledge, while the Scriptures are trustworthy, making wise the simple! Therefore, both halves are the same, in that both give you basically the same thing, knowledge, and make you wise. The book of Proverbs states in verse two:
Proverbs 1:2 (NIV)
for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight;
That verse is speaking of Scriptures, but after the Psalm above, and the many other verses we have looked at, I think we can get the same from the Stars of God! Please take off the blinders, and SEE what the Holy Word of God is telling us! We need to see that the heavens are indeed a calendar. It teaches us, it shows the past, as well as the future, and from Psalm 19, God makes them equal with Scripture! From God’s point of view, the heavens were His calendar, and contain wisdom. Also, with the structure of Psalm 19, this makes the heavens and Scripture equivalent! The following verse plays into this. I am going to use the REV again here for this next verse.
2 Timothy 2:15 (REV)
Make a diligent effort to present yourself approved before God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
So logically, we should make a diligent effort to rightly handle the heavens of truth as well! The skies proclaim the work of His hands (Ps. 19:1 above), and so do the Scriptures. So, does it not make sense to rightly handle both? Yes! We need to search both, and dig into both for the answers! It is important that we learn to read the star calendar, because in the things we have covered since we started, “Part One,” we have seen the following about the heavens [sun, moon, and stars]:
• God created the heavens to tell His story, and His Son’s story.
• They are there for signs, and, “appointed times.”
• It shows prophetic insight into His plans, i.e. Magi [wise men]!
• This calendar continues every day.
• We need to learn more and more how to read His calendar!
We saw in Part Three some verses on what is coming shortly. These things will happen, and I have been and still continue to be, excited about it. Here is an important one!
1 Corinthians 15:52 (NIV)
in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
This next verse goes with it, because both cover the Rapture.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NIV)
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
We have already answered all the arguments people have on, “we cannot know,” “stars are demonic,” “it will come like a thief in the night,” “we will not know the day or hour,” “it was sealed,” etc. Well, I am sorry, but not one of those arguments holds water! Jesus was upset that so many in Jerusalem had no idea of his triumphal entry there [Psalm Sunday], and made this comment in Luke below. We should know what is going on around us, especially in the Word, but also in the sun, moon, and stars; because the Lord is going to fulfill everything they reveal.
Luke 19:41 and 42 (NIV)
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.
Jesus was sad to the point of crying, because the people of Jerusalem did not know their peace rode the colt in to their city. They were about to have this one, whom was their peace, crucified! They will mourn for the one they pierced! Now, who is that? Oh yeah, Jesus! This chapter of Zechariah is going to come to pass very soon.
Zechariah 12:10–12 (NIV)
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 11 On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives,
The Scriptures never blamed the Roman government, or soldiers, but Israel! Remember this verse.
Acts 2:36 (NIV)
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
Here is a verse, which is about the future, which ties in with events coming soon in I Corinthians 15 above.
Isaiah 25:7–9 (NIV)
7 On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; 8 he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD [Yahweh] will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD [Yahweh] has spoken. 9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD [Yahweh], we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
He, “will remove the disgrace of his people [that was Israel, remember Part Eleven] from all the earth?” What disgrace? Disobeying God’s Word, and losing the land to unbelievers, that which belonged to God! That verse above will be fulfilled at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, and the beginning of the Everlasting Kingdom [for Israel, and at the Rapture for Christians]. This starts a Eighth Administration [Remember eight in numbers is a new beginning], which is covered in the Scriptures starting in Revelation 21, and is about the new heaven and new earth, and much more. See the verse below for us Christians, as this is when death is swallowed up for us. I have a chart on the topic, send me a personal message and I will send it to you.
1 Corinthians 15:54–55 (NIV)
54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
Today, we don’t have every answer, but that too will change when we are, “face to face,” with our Lord Jesus! All this is coming soon. Love this verse below.
1 Corinthians 13:12 (NIV)
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
God knew the days were coming when Israel would be led back into His land, and they would prosper, and really eat well. See this verse, and I believe it is coming in seven years [after the Tribulation, which is about 7 years long].
Amos 9:13–15 (NIV)
13 “The days are coming,” declares the LORD [Yahweh], “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills. 14 I will bring back my exiled people Israel [folks, this is not the modern Israel]; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
Many say that this is today, and you may try to rationalize that the U. S. A. and U. K. soldiers in 1947 were carrying out God’s will when they forced the Palestinians out, but that cannot be shown in Scripture, and we have handled it in this series in Part Eleven. This next verse below should make you think about our future, and our temporal bodies.
2 Corinthians 5:1 (NIV)
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
This fits with this so well, and I had to share it. See below.
2 Peter 1:14 (KJV)
Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
We are about to get new bodies. People, things in the stars have to happen before we are Raptured. The stars were God’s calendar, His first, even before the man, and woman in the Garden. Next, we will see how the, “Stars of God,” work. They are His, never forget that! He knows them by name, and where each is every minute, of every day.
One thing has come up about, “Part Twelve,” and it is about us being kings. I was told we cannot all be kings; that some would be queens, dukes, princesses, earls, and so on. That could be, but the Bible states, “King of kings.” So for now, the comment may, or may not be valid. This I know, Koinonia means FULL sharing, and not PART. We are joint-heirs [co-heirs] with Christ. So, until I see more, I will stick with kings!
When we started Part Four we were getting into the sun, moon, and stars in a big way. We are now ready to start learning about our cast of characters for this topic. They go by, or have gone by, many different names. We will cover what we need to, and if you want more, you will have to do the research. I would say wait for the book, but I will not be able to do that, because I will not be here. I have much to cover, and cannot teach all I have learned. Remember, those who lived in Bible times could only see the inner planets, which was covered in earlier parts of this series. We will see that some of the outer planets will be involved in this teaching. We will see how they play into God’s first calendar, the heavens!
This brought back memories of the first lunar landing on July 20th, 1969. I was on leave from the U. S. Army, sitting at a friend’s house, and watched it on a black and white television. I have often wondered what seeing all God’s stars from the moon would be like. Normally, I would have been out having fun, but with the threat of war looming over me, I stayed in most of the time. Even still, the heavens, space, and the moon excited me. My interest has never gone away. I think that the big red moons [mentioned in Part One, and we will discuss them again shortly], plus my article about the events which happened between Christ death and Resurrection, jump started my heart. So, let us take a good look at the heavens seen with the naked eye, and some Bible too.
The Sun in Jewish culture represented God, but I feel from the Bible, today and in the Hebrew Scriptures, it is Christ that it represents most.
Malachi 4:2 (NIV)
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.
We know the woman with the issue of blood [Matt. 9:29; Mark 5:25–27, and Luke 8:43 and 44] felt she needed to touch the border [hem] of Christ Jesus’ garments, so that she could be healed [culturally, healing in his wings]. Malachi referred to him as, “the Sun of righteousness,” not son, but the sun. The following verses are prophetically about the Christ, but also about the sun itself. So, you can see why I say the sun represents Christ.
Psalm 19:4 and 5 (NIV)
4 Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, 5 which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
So, as you can see, Scripture shows us the Messiah is represented by the sun.
The moon represents the people of the earth, and events with the moon effect mankind. There are more than seventy references to New Moons, along with Israel in Scriptures. Here are a couple examples.
1 Chronicles 23:31 (NIV)
and whenever burnt offerings were presented to the LORD [Yahweh] on Sabbaths and at New Moon festivals and at appointed feasts. They were to serve before the LORD [Yahweh] regularly in the proper number and in the way prescribed for them.
Psalm 81:3 (NIV)
Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our Feast;
Remember, as I have told you that the heavens are God’s calendar; how He marks days, months, and years.
Mercury is the messenger for God, and represents Gabriel the spokesman for God in the Hebrew Scriptures, and for God in the Gospels. There are verses in the book of Acts, where the people who worshipped the Roman gods thought Barnabas, and Paul were Roman gods. These verses could go with Mercury or Jupiter, but you need to see them.
Acts 14:11–13 (KJV)
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. 12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius [old English for Mercury], because he was the chief speaker [Spokesman for God]. 13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
I love that God thought this was important enough to put in Scripture. Also, to show the counterfeits of both Jupiter, and especially Mercury, the chief speaker for their god Jupiter!
Venus is the bright and morning star, and represents the Messiah also. This verse below proves that.
Revelation 22:16 (KJV)
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Of course the Earth, because we can see it. All you have to do is look down, and will not show up in any prophecy in the heavens of Scripture.
Mars represents in mythology the god of war, which is a counterfeit; as it really is a representation of Michael the archangel, the warrior angel. Here are three verses about him below.
Daniel 10:13 (KJV)
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
Jude 1:9 (KJV)
Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
Revelation 12:7 (KJV)
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Jupiter represents the Messiah, and is called the king planet. Also, because it was used by the Greeks, then the Romans, as a counterfeit for their supreme god, so then it is safe to see why it could at times represent God, as well as Christ.
I am sure with there being three things in the heavens representing the Messiah, that they are showing his different attributes. Okay, for example the Gospels show the different attributes of Jesus Christ: Matthew as King; Mark as a servant; Luke as a man; and John as the Son of God. Therefore, with the Sun, Venus, and Jupiter all representing Christ, then each one is a different attribute of the Messiah. The Sun shows him as a man, who travels anywhere to give warmth, and healing as he goes. Venus shows him as the servant, helping to guide mankind through life. Jupiter is him not only A King, but King of kings, and all the constellations together tell the story of the Son of God.
Saturn represents the Adversary, the star of Moloch. Saturn is mentioned in the Hebrew Scriptures, and the Christian Scriptures also. Below is one in the Hebrew Scriptures.
Amos 5:26 (KJV)
But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch [a false god] and Chiun [translated from the Hebrew word for Saturn] your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
The word is spelled a few different ways in the Greek, when transliterated into English; Rephen, Rhemphan, and Remphan are three I have found. Below are a couple verses from the Christian Scriptures. I am sure you can see that both the Hebrew Scriptures above, and the Christian Scriptures below, have Moloch and Saturn in common.
Acts 7:42 and 43 (KJV)
42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? 43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan [Greek for Saturn], figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
God detests Moloch, and the evil practice of the pagan nations [and also of Israel, because they were way off track as you see] of throwing their sons, and daughters in the fires of Moloch. Also, He did not want them worshipping any of the host of heaven, which would include Saturn.
2 Kings 17:15–18 (KJV)
15 And they [context is Israel] rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD [Yahweh] had charged them, that they should not do like them. 16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD [Yahweh] their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. 17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire [of Moloch], and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD [Yahweh], to provoke him to anger. 18 Therefore the LORD [Yahweh] was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
As you work the Word, you should see that there is a clear difference between the nations of Israel and Judah. Sadly, few understand the differences between the nation of Israel, and the nation of Judah [We covered it in detail in Part Eleven]. I want you to understand, few will make a commitment to knowing even the approximate time of Christ’s return, but we will, because it is in God’s Word that we can know!
We truly do not know the names of all the stars, at least the names in which God gave them, and we definitely do not know all their meanings, or what they mean to God. I sadly say that they have been lost in time, but because of what the Bible says, we have hope.
Matthew 5:18 (NIV)
I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
After you read the record of Psalm 19, I hope you came away with the fact that from God’s perspective both the things in His written Word and those written in the heavens are equally important. So, the verse above in Matthew says that nothing will disappear until everything is accomplished from the written Word, thus I contend the same is true for the heavens. I feel the Lord Jesus wants this information out, and we will work very hard with those willing to listen. We need answers, and he is showing them to us. Much of what I see now, he has helped me with. I have learned more in the past four years, than the forty-two years before that, and I am 69. With that shown, is my life in the Word of God. I feel we are living in exciting times. Our hope is written in the heavens!
I want to mention two Constellations; Virgo and Leo, plus a star in Leo. The Constellation Leo represents the Messiah, and the heart of Leo is a blue star [very rare] called Regulus. Regulus was in an alignment of the stars in the past, but will be in two coming up this year. I want these things in your mind as we get to the heart of the topic.
I know this was a recap of Parts One, Two, Three, and a little of Part four. I took out anything which was wrongly divided due to lack of knowledge, and from wrong teaching I had. Once this is up on our Website, I will remove Parts One, Two, and Three. I am sorry if it caused any confusion, but I was learning as I wrote, which I should not have done, but it was based on things I have believed most of my adult life. I thought those things applied to us, and that the signs coincided with the events, but that was wrong. I believe the Word is Truth, as well as the signs in the stars. I think we will be able to understand the signs by the time I finish this series. Jesus is coming soon! See you in the air!
